After a ten day visit with Angela and John and the boys in Jacksonville, it was time to go home. The day began like all the rest, riding with Rosa to take the boys to school, but I had to tell those precious little guys goodbye when they stepped out of the van. After dropping them off I told Rosa that I wanted to buy her breakfast and Johnathan was all in for the Waffle House. When we left, I asked Rosa to drive through the moss covered trees in the Ortega neighborhood.
We did, and Johnathan thoroughly enjoyed the little parks we stopped at.. I snapped a lot of pics of the beautiful trees, the water, the wildlife, and of course John John. Angela took off early enough to take me for a special lunch at the Palms Fish Camp on the river, in route to the airport. It was probably the best flounder and Mayport shrimp I have ever eaten. One of those taste experience that lasts a lifetime.
Shakespeare had it right, such good memories and yet regret at parting. I love my family and I pray daily that a merciful God will reach down and touch all our lives in a special way that turns us toward Him. Goodbye Jax, till we meet again.
