Fall is my favorite season, even though it signifies the end of life and the end of all that is full of color and beauty. I think I love it because it makes everything dormant for a season, but not forever. Maybe it's because I am in the Fall of my life and the reality of life after this life is real and a marvelous anticipation. Whatever the reason, God puts us all through these tests in our lives and then we enter a new season in life. The past three years have shattered my stability and peace as no other period in my life and I pray for God to give me peace to endure the pain and grief that grips my soul. He says look up , and look around, there is evidence all around you that I am here and I will be faithful to my promises. And then I find peace.
Lord Give Me Peace
I prayed for peace down to my core
And the Lord says here, it's yours to reap
It's yours for now and evermore
I paid the price, it's free to keep
I look around and soon it's clear
'Twas always here within my touch
Though storms may come and cause me fear
His love can keep me safe as such
With every season of the year
He sends me signs that help me cope
When flowers bloom in Spring they cheer
And Fall's bright leaves fill me with hope
Winter's cold doth chill the soul
But Summer's heat doth warm the heart
God says here, I've played my role
Now you can go and claim your part
